Terms of service
1. FORWARD
It is the policy of BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. to sell its products exclusively to accredited veterinarians in Canada. It is the responsibility of all purchasers of BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd.’s products to comply with provincial and national guidelines and policies that govern the Canadian animal health industries. BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. fully respects the diligent work and investment of animal health companies who have been through the regulatory process to have their products approved. BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. will not accept orders for products with a DIN or VHP that can be supplied through normal channels.
2. PRICES
All prices are subject to change without notice. All orders will be subject to the prices in effect at the date of receipt of the order by BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. Prices quoted do not include any taxes or other governmental charges upon sale and/or shipment of products which shall be added to the invoice price and paid by the purchaser. Any rebates or discounts associated with the purchase of BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd products will be paid to the purchaser on record.
3. ORDER PLACEMENT AND SIGNATURE
E-Signature Process with DocuSign
All orders submitted through our BVR website will need to be signed by a licensed veterinarian before processing to be a valid prescription.
We use DocuSign eSignature to complete the signature. It is very easy to use, convenient and fast. You do not need an account to sign documents with DocuSign. Once you submit your order through our website, our customer service will verify it, and send you an email with a DocuSign eSignature request.
4. CANCELLATION OF AN ORDER
Cancellation of an order is permitted if received prior to the compounding process commencement. If compounding of a product has begun, we cannot cancel a prescribed order. In this case, the clinic will be invoiced for costs associated with compounding the product in addition to any freight charges that may have occurred.
5. PAYMENT TERMS
Payment is due within 30 days of invoicing unless otherwise approved by BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd may charge an amount equal to 1.5% per month (18% per annum) on the amount of any unpaid balance calculated from the date the payment is due until the full payment is received by BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd.
6. PAYMENT OPTIONS
We highly encourage all customers to remit payment through Electronic Wire or EFT, which helps ensure remittances are received and processed in a timely manner. Cheques are also accepted.
7. TRANSPORTATION AND SHIPMENT
Single shipments with a pre-tax invoice value of $500 or more will be shipped at no charge via a transportation company selected by BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. All other shipments will be subject to a shipping charge of the freight charged to BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. by the transportation company. Free shipping over $500 is subject to change at any time.
8. DELIVERY, TITLE, AND RISK OF LOSS
BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. reserves the right to select the carrier of their choice. At the request of a customer, BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd may use a carrier and or route selected by the customer. All additional costs over and above the normal shipping costs will be the customer's responsibility and will be added to the invoice.
Title to the products and risk of loss shall pass to the customer as follows:
Upon delivery to the customer’s designated warehouse/receiving location by the BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. selected carrier; or, Upon delivery to the carrier at the BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. shipping dock when the customer has arranged for pick-up or transportation of the order; or,
Upon delivery to the carrier at the customer’s shipping dock when the customer changes the carrier’s delivery timing by more than eight (8) hours, while the order is in transit.
Customers are responsible to report any failure to deliver by the carrier, or loss or damage in transit. All claims for failure to deliver, or for loss or damage in transit, will be investigated by BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. shall not be liable for any failure to deliver from causes beyond BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd.’s control. This includes but is not limited to strikes or contingencies of manufacturing. BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. shall not be liable to any
purchaser for any failure to supply, or loss or damage due to fires, floods, power interruptions, scarcity of materials, strikes, and acts of terrorism or for any other cause beyond its reasonable control. BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. shipping policy and freight charges are subject to change and customers will be notified at least 10 business days in advance of material changes.
9. RETURNED GOODS POLICY
BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. compounds products per the veterinarian’s prescribed request. BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. has a zero-return policy. No goods can be returned to our facility under any circumstances. Should you describe a different policy for BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. products on your website or communications, we ask that you revise that information. It is your
responsibility to advise your customers that no returns can or will be accepted by BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd.
10. INCORRECT SHIPMENTS/PRODUCTS ORDERED IN ERROR
It is the goal of BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. to fill prescribed orders as requested by our customers. However, errors do occur. BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. requests that any incorrect shipments shall be reported by the customer within 4 working days of the date of delivery to the BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd Customer Care Team at orders@bvrvet.ca / 403-483-1700.
11. PRODUCT RECALL or VERIFIED MANUFACTURE DEFECT
If BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. must recall a product or there is a verified defect, the customer should contact the BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd Customer Care Team at orders@bvrvet.ca / 403-483-1700 to receive written approval (email confirmation is acceptable) identifying the product(s), lot number (s) and number of units to be returned and the carrier of choice. All freight charges associated with the approved return of recalled product or verified manufacturing defects will be the responsibility of BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. Customers will receive credit at the invoice price for returned product.
12. ANIMAL CARE
At BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. we take the responsibility to provide quality products that support the health and well-being of the animals in our customers' care very seriously. If for any reason the expected medical outcome of using a BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. product is not as expected, please contact our Customer Care Team at orders@bvrvet.ca / 403-483-1700.
13. PRESCRIPTION PRODUCTS
Alberta Vet Medical Association (ABVMA) regulations require that BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. compounded products be dispensed only on prescription.
Prescription products will only be sold to licensed veterinarians in Canada. Prescription products can only be dispensed by our customers based on provincial regulations, which generally are restricted to: Licensed veterinarian(s) with a valid client-patient relationship.
14. PRIVACY POLICY
BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd.’s policy is as follows:
a. BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. administration team is responsible for the control of personal information and ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act.
b. Personal information is only collected after individuals have been informed about what the information will be used for and consent received.
c. Personal information collection is limited to information that is explicitly required for the purpose identified and shall not be disclosed, saved and excepted for the purposes identified, and only retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the intended purpose.
d. Personal information will be as accurate, complete and up-to-date as necessary for the purpose for which it is to be used.
e. Personal information is protected by BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. hierarchy of information and controlled by the administration team.
f. Upon request, an individual shall be informed of the existence, use and disclosure of their personal information and shall be given access to that information. Individuals shall be able to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and have it amended as appropriate.
15. BREACH OF SALE TERMS – TERMINATION
Any breach of these terms and conditions of sale will result in BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. having the sole discretion to refuse all further sales or revoking its approval of sales by veterinarians of BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. products to that person/entity. Should BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. have reason to believe that a purchaser is in breach of these terms of sale, pending completion of any investigations it chooses to carry out, BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or refuse further sales to a licensed veterinarian.
16. CHANGES TO TERMS OF SALE
The terms and conditions of sale are subject to change, from time to time, upon notice to our customers. Notice of any changes may be given by fax, email or other electronic means. Any order for BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. products after receipt of such a notice is subject to BVR Veterinary Supplies Ltd. terms and conditions then in effect.
